Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Paira for using the Paira app and its test version, Paira Beta, on iPhone and Android. Please read them with Paira’s Privacy policy, which explains how Paira handles your information, including how Paira’s AI works with your conversations.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Paira, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Paira.
Who can use Paira
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into this agreement. Use one account for yourself, and give Paira details that are true.
Your account
You can sign in with Google or use a guest account. Keep your account to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under it. If you use a guest account, follow the app’s steps to keep it, or you may lose access to it. Tell Paira right away if you think someone else is using your account.
Your shared space
Paira is built around a space you share with one other person. When you join a space:
- what you share there, such as messages, photos, memories and events, can be seen by the other member;
- you agree that either member may ask Paira’s AI for help, and that Paira may read content from both of you to answer, including messages you wrote, as the Privacy policy describes;
- you share only content you have the right to share, and content about other people only with their permission;
- if one of you leaves or deletes their account, the space is archived and some shared content may remain, as the Privacy policy explains.
Paira’s AI
Paira’s AI can talk with you, suggest replies, remember things, help you plan, search the web, and help with reminders and events. When you use it, please keep in mind that:
- its answers are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date;
- it doesn’t give professional advice, whether medical, mental health, legal, financial or relationship counselling, and is no substitute for it;
- it isn’t an emergency service: if you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services;
- you decide what to do with its suggestions, including any message you send, and you are responsible for that;
- when Paira creates or changes something for you, such as a reminder or an event, check that it’s right.
Your content
What you share in Paira stays yours. To run Paira, you give Paira permission to store, copy, process, send and display your content, including by sending it to the outside services, AI services among them, that help run Paira, as the Privacy policy describes. This permission is worldwide and free of charge, and lasts only as long as it’s needed to run Paira and meet Paira’s legal obligations.
You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights needed to share it.
Using Paira fairly
Please don’t use Paira to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- harass, threaten, stalk or secretly monitor anyone, or share intimate images of someone without their consent;
- share content that sexually exploits children, promotes violence, or infringes other people’s rights;
- get around Paira’s limits, access other people’s accounts or data, overload or attack Paira’s systems, or copy or reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows;
- make Paira’s AI produce unlawful or deceptive content, or try to extract its instructions or other people’s information.
Coins, plans and purchases
Some features use coins. You buy coins through the App Store or Google Play, under their payment terms. Coins have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for money, and can be used only in Paira, including sending them to your partner where the app allows. Plans that renew keep renewing until you turn renewal off. Except where the law or the store’s rules require, purchases aren’t refundable, and unused coins may be lost when an account is closed.
Paira Beta
Paira Beta is a test version. It may contain errors, change often or lose data, and Paira may end it at any time.
Changes to Paira
Paira keeps improving, so features may be added, changed or removed. Paira may also be limited or paused for maintenance, for security, or for reasons beyond Paira’s control.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Paira and delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete Account. Paira may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other people or Paira. Where reasonable, Paira will tell you first.
Disclaimers
Paira aims to be reliable and safe, but it is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, Paira doesn’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that its AI will be accurate.
Limits on Paira’s liability
To the extent the law allows, Paira is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, or for harm arising from AI answers or from content shared by other members, and Paira’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Paira in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. If something goes wrong, please contact Paira first so you can try to solve it together. If that doesn’t work, disputes will be settled by the competent courts of Vietnam, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top is updated. If a change is significant, Paira will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Paira after that, you accept the new terms.
